Juli Anna McNutt

Juli Anna McNutt is a co-founder of Lark Environmental, Inc., who has been specializing in wildlife management and ecology, natural resource planning, and NEPA compliance for over the last 25 years. She grew up in Texas and eventually moved to the west for both her and her husband's careers. From a young age, her family’s backpacking and camping trips sparked a passion for wildlife – she was (and still is) fascinated by how each species is uniquely adapted to its habitat and diet.

Juli Anna holds a B.S. in Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University and an M.S. in Environmental Biology from the University of Houston. She has extensive experience working with both the private and government sectors, developing NEPA documents, and conducting sensitive species and habitat field surveys. She previously worked with NOAA, gaining regulatory knowledge and developing policies for NEPA and NRDA. Over the past dozen years, she has focused on natural resource planning for tribes, including agricultural resource management, food sovereignty, drought response, and climate adaptation plans. Juli Anna has the scientific training needed for sustainable management of grasslands, croplands, and sensitive habitats and species, and understands distinctive tribal sovereignty concerns.

Juli Anna and her family moved to Wyoming over 10 years ago, where they started a small sheep ranch, and now spend much of their time running, snowshoeing, hiking, skiing, and camping.
